Dear Parents,

The resumption of school brings about the beginning of another year of activity for the De Paul Youth Club.

The De Paul Youth Club is a Saint Vincent de Paul Parish program which provides an after school sports and recreation program for boys and girls in the 3^rd through 8^th grades.

We ask each of you to read the  De Paul Youth Club Handbook with your child/ren and to pay special attention to the Saint Vincent de Paul gym rules, De Paul Youth Club member responsibilities, and the Parent Code of Conduct.  The Handbook is posted online at svdpsf.com.  You will find it under the De Paul Youth Club tab on the home page.  Please return the signature page of the handbook and the CYO Code of Conduct with your De Paul Youth Club fee.

  The De Paul Youth Club fees for the 2010-2011 year are as follows:

        Saint Vincent de Paul student - $230.00 for the year.  This fee covers participation in all sports and/or use of the gym every day after school that the gym is open.

        Non-Saint Vincent de Paul School students - $250.00 for the first sport played and $35.00 for each additional sport played.

        All fees are due by Friday, September 17, 2010.  No one will be allowed to participate in De Paul Youth Club activities after the 17^th if fees have not been paid.

         The De Paul Youth Club fees are used to pay entry fees for our athletic teams, last years fees were $18,500 and they have increased for the 2010-2011 school year, insurance for our members, maintenance of the gym, janitorial service, phone, PG & E, and water bills, office supplies, restroom supplies, athletic equipment, uniforms, and awards night.  We are very grateful to the Auxiliary to the De Paul Youth Club for their ongoing support and fundraising efforts to raise funds for the salaries of the athletic director, assistant athletic director, game room supervisor, and stipends for the coaches.  Were it not for their tremendous dedication and effort on the behalf of the De Paul Youth Club we would have to absorb these costs into the De Paul Youth Club budget.  I encourage you to become a member of the Auxiliary to the De Paul Youth Club if you have not done so already, and to support their fundraising efforts in any way you can.

 Once again this year all De Paul Youth Club members will be charged a $100.00 uniform deposit.  If you chose not to have your deposit returned to you last year, then you do not need to pay a deposit this year.  No child will be issued a uniform if they have not brought in the deposit.  Please refer to your handbook for more information regarding this policy.

 The De Paul Youth Club will use copies of the emergency forms that you have returned to Saint Vincent de Paul School.

  All girls and boys playing volleyball and soccer will need to purchase a pair of white shorts with the Viking head logo.  These are on sale in the GYM office every day after school.  The price for the shorts is $15.00.  Soccer socks are also available for $5.00 per pair.

 Parents and students are reminded that no food or drink is ever permitted on the gym floor unless the tarp is down. 

Please return your fee, signature page, CYO code of Conduct and uniform deposit all at the same time.
