Drama
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade participate in drama once per week for a semester. The semester of drama study culminates with a morning performance for the entire student body, faculty and staff, and an evening performance for family and friends.
Our drama program is directed by Kidstock Inc. In each of these programs children are cast in an original musical theater production, written by the dedicated, artistic staff of Kidstock. These productions are infinitely flexible and tailored to fit the needs of each unique group of students. They include songs and dances from various styles and time periods all based around a common theme and positive message. Students work together to build the production from the ground up, culminating in a performance for friends, fellow students, and family.
The Kidstock drama program helps children to build skills in literacy, problem solving, and team work while also fostering strong self-esteem and confidence. Students practice methods of self-expression and story-telling, exploring their imaginations, and testing their personal limits.
