Extended Care
The philosophy of the Extended Care Program is consistent with the St. Vincent de Paul School philosophy and goals. The director and staff provide a nurturing environment for all participants. They also work closely with the parents towards the growth of each child.
All parents must register their child(ren) in the Extended Care Program as a precautionary measure. You will not be billed unless your child attends. Registration in Extended Care allows us to provide supervision should you be unexpectedly delayed in picking-up your child after school. This policy is in place to ensure the safety, supervision, and well being of your child.
Extended Care is offered to students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, from school dismissal until 6 P.M.
Extended Care is available at a nominal hourly rate for drop-ins or at a monthly rate for students who require after school care on a daily basis. Bills are sent home at the beginning of each month. Fees are based on the number of days and/or sessions your child attends. Delinquent notices are mailed home.
There are well-defined policies and guidelines for the St. Vincent de Paul Extended Care Program, which are contained in the parent contract. There are clear expectations for: parent follow-through, student behavior, schedule, tuition payments, safety procedures, activities, homework time, student illness, late pick-up and dismissal procedures. Parents must complete an emergency form for each participant.
The Extended Care Program is limited to the Extended Care room, the cafeteria and the schoolyard. On occasion, the children play in the gym.
The Director of Extended Care is Mrs. Ruth DeLutis, and the Assistant Director is Mrs. Martha Keiser.
