Students’ Special Needs Program

Saint Vincent de Paul School has a Learning Specialist on staff.  All Kindergarten students and new students are automatically screened to determine whether or not they may benefit from the assistance of the learning specialist.  Teachers and parents may also refer a student for screening.  There is no fee for the screening process.

Our learning specialist usually works with children for several weeks.  Afterwards, they are evaluated.  If a child is deemed to need consistent help, the parent will be asked to sign a contract and pay a one-time fee for materials as well as a monthly fee for small group instruction.

Teachers and parents may also request that a student see the Learning Specialist on a regular basis as part of a pullout program.  Consistent student participation in the pullout program requires parental permission as well as a $680.00 annual fee.  This includes the $60.00 materials fee.
